Money Flow Privacy Policy

Last updated: [1/3/2026]

This Privacy Policy describes how MoneyFlow (“the App”) developed by Impact Interactive Solutions (“we”, “us”, or “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App and our related services.

By installing or using MoneyFlow, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

If you do not agree with this Policy, please do not install or use the App and uninstall it from your device.

1. Overview

MoneyFlow is a personal finance app that helps you track income and expenses, manage budgets, and analyze your spending. We designed MoneyFlow with privacy in mind:

- Your financial data (transactions, budgets, receipts) is stored primarily locally on your device .

- We do not operate our own backend servers for syncing your personal finance data.

- Cloud backup is optional and, when enabled, uses your Google Drive appDataFolder under your own Google account.

- We integrate certain Google services (such as Google Mobile Ads, Google Play Billing, Google ML Kit, Google Play In‑App Updates, and Google Drive) that may process data under their own privacy policies.

This website Privacy Policy complements the in‑app Privacy Policy shown inside MoneyFlow. If there is any inconsistency, this web version should be treated as the more detailed explanation.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Enter in the App

When you use MoneyFlow, you may enter or generate:

- Transaction data : income and expense amounts, dates, categories, payment methods, notes, and tags.

- Budgets and goals : monthly budgets, saving goals, thresholds, alerts, and settings.

- Receipt images : photos or images of purchase receipts that you choose to scan or attach.

- Preferences and settings : language preferences, notification settings, premium feature switches, and other in‑app options.

All of the above are stored primarily on your device and are used only inside the App unless you choose to include them in a backup.

2.2 Device and Usage Data (Through Third Parties)

We do not run our own analytics server, but integrated third‑party services may collect limited information automatically, such as:

- Device identifiers (e.g., advertising ID)

- Device type, OS version, app version

- Aggregated usage and performance data (e.g., crash information, ad impressions)

These are collected and processed under the respective privacy policies of the service providers (for example, Google).

3. How Your Data Is Stored

3.1 On Your Device (Local Storage)

By default, MoneyFlow stores your app data locally on your device , including:

- Transactions, budgets, and categories

- Settings and preferences

- Receipt images (photos) associated with your transactions

Uninstalling the App from your device will normally remove the locally stored data from that device.

3.2 Optional Cloud Backup (Google Drive)

If you enable Cloud Backup in the App:

- Selected app data (such as your database and, optionally, receipt images and settings) may be stored in your Google Drive appDataFolder .

- This folder is associated with your own Google account and is not publicly accessible .

- We do not receive your Google Drive login details.

- Backup and restore operations are initiated by you from within the App.

You can disable Cloud Backup at any time from the App’s settings and/or delete the backups from your Google Drive account.

We do not operate our own remote database for your personal finance data; backups are stored under your control in your Google Drive.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use the information processed by MoneyFlow to:

- Provide the core app features, including:

  - Tracking income and expenses

  - Budget and goal management

  - Receipts scanning and attachment

  - Notifications and alerts about budgets or reminders

- Allow you to create and restore local and cloud backups of your data (when enabled).

- Show advertisements (where applicable) and manage premium purchases (subscriptions or one‑time purchases).

- Maintain and improve app performance, stability, and user experience (for example via crash and performance data from third‑party services).

We do not sell your personal financial data.

5. Third‑Party Services

MoneyFlow integrates several third‑party services operated by Google. These services may collect and process information under their own privacy policies.

5.1 Google Mobile Ads (AdMob)

We use Google Mobile Ads (AdMob) to display ads inside the App. AdMob may collect and process data such as:

- Advertising ID

- IP address

- App usage and interaction data

- Approximate location (for example, for ad relevance or fraud prevention)

AdMob’s processing is governed by Google’s Privacy Policy and AdMob policies. For more information, see: https://policies.google.com/privacy

You can reset or limit ad personalization using your device’s system settings (e.g., “Opt out of Ads Personalization” or equivalent).

5.2 Google Play Billing

We use Google Play Billing to manage premium subscriptions and one‑time purchases. Google Play may process:

- Purchase tokens

- Product identifiers

- Basic account information related to the purchase

We do not receive your full payment card details. Google Play Billing is governed by Google’s policies and your Google account terms.

5.3 Google ML Kit (On‑Device Text Recognition)

For receipt scanning, MoneyFlow uses Google ML Kit (on‑device text recognition) to extract text from receipt images.

- Receipt images are processed primarily on your device.

- This feature is used only when you choose to scan a receipt.

5.4 Google Drive (Cloud Backup)

As described above, optional Cloud Backup uses your Google Drive appDataFolder . Google may process:

- The files you back up (encrypted/structured according to the App’s format)

- Metadata necessary to store and manage those backups

Google Drive usage is subject to Google’s terms and privacy policy.

5.5 Other Google Play Services

The App may also use Google Play In‑App Updates and other Google Play services for app distribution and updates. These services can collect standard diagnostic information to ensure the app is delivered correctly.

6. Permissions Used by the App

Depending on your platform and configuration, MoneyFlow may request access to:

- Camera – to capture receipt photos when you choose to scan or attach receipts.

- Photos/Storage – to read images you select as receipts and, optionally, to store backups on local storage if you choose a local backup.

- Network/Internet – to load and display ads, verify purchases, perform cloud backup/restore to Google Drive, and check for updates.

- Notifications – to send reminders or alerts that you enable in the App.

We only use these permissions for the purposes described and do not access your content for any unrelated reason.

You can revoke permissions at any time through your device settings, but some features may stop working properly if certain permissions are disabled (for example, receipt scanning without Camera access).

7. Data Retention

- On your device: Data is kept on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.

- In backups: Local backups remain on your device’s storage until you delete them. Cloud backups in Google Drive remain until you delete them from the App (where supported) or from your Google Drive account.

- Third‑party services: Third‑party providers (such as Google) may retain data for as long as needed for operational purposes, as described in their own policies.

We do not independently store copies of your personal finance data on our own servers.

8. Your Choices & Rights

Within the App, you can:

- Add, edit, or delete transactions , budgets , and goals .

- Delete receipt images associated with your entries.

- Enable or disable Cloud Backup and control what is included in backups (transactions, images, settings).

- Change your permissions (Camera, Photos/Storage, etc.) via system settings.

- Manage premium features and purchases through the Google Play Store.

Depending on your country or region, you may have additional rights under local data protection laws (for example, rights to access, correction, deletion, or objection). If you have questions or requests, you can contact us using the details below.

9. Children’s Privacy

MoneyFlow is intended for adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction).

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information through the App, please contact us so we can help you delete it where applicable.

10. Security

We apply reasonable technical and organizational measures to help protect your data, including:

- Storing your financial data locally on your device by default.

- Using secure channels (such as HTTPS) when communicating with third‑party services.

However, no method of storage or transmission over the internet is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your information.

You are responsible for:

- Keeping your device secure (e.g., using a screen lock).

- Managing access to your device and your Google account.

- Managing your backups in Google Drive or on local storage.

11. International Transfers

Because MoneyFlow relies on services provided by Google and potentially other providers, your data may be processed on servers located in countries other than your own.

These third‑party providers operate under their own privacy and data protection frameworks, as described in their respective privacy policies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect:

- Changes to the App’s features, or

- Changes in legal or regulatory requirements.

When we do, we will:

- Update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page, and

- Where appropriate, reflect the changes in the in‑app Privacy Policy section.

We recommend reviewing this page periodically.
